Code of Etiquette in a Casino

Code of etiquettes makes the player's stay at the casino more enjoyable and the casino employee's job easier in dealing with players. There are table civilities that casino patrons must consider.

The following are general casino etiquettes for players:

Roulette Etiquette:

1. Remember that all seats in the casino are intended for roulette players only. Non-players of roulette must move out and should not occupy the seats.

2. Roulette chips are intended for one player only; chips are not to be shared to family members or friends. There are specific color-coded chips for one player only.

3. The dealer will leave the bet of the winner at the layout; your winning payout will be given to you by the dealer separately. It is you who will be responsible in removing your bet from the layout if you do not want to continue your bet on the previous spot.

Blackjack Etiquette:

1. If you are to use hit or stand signals be sure that you know the signals for both at the table that you are playing.

2. Do not do anything to your cards at Blackjack, or they may throw you out.

3. After you have placed your bet at the center do not touch your bet.

4. If you want to leave the table before the game begins, expect that you may hear some abusive words from other players.

5. Never question the dealer what their hole card is. After the dealer looked at their card never ask for advice. The dealer will not risk their job for you.

6. If you are losing the game for quite a number of times now, do not accuse or blame the dealer. They have nothing to do with it. Just consider it another course of bad luck and bad cards.

7. If you are using card counting, which is recommended, it is best that you understand the game before doing so.

8. Try to use light conversation rather than non-sense conversations.

Slots Etiquette:

1. Play one slot machine only especially when the casino is crowded. Even if the casino is not crowded, learn to play with one slot machine only.

2. If you are going to take a short break like going to the washroom, leave your cap or jacket at the seat of the machine to show that the machine is occupied. But do not take too long.

Tip Etiquette:

You are not obliged to give tips to employees or dealers. It is just a way to show a simple courtesy. However, if you have given them tips, never expect that they will break or bend the rules for you.
